Dell PowerConnect RPS-600 Redundant Power Supply

The Dell PowerConnect RPS-600 offers enterprise-class redundant power for select PowerConnect 3000 and 5000 series switches. It contains four independent 150 W power supplies. The RPS-600 eliminates the switch power supply as a single point of failure and supports up to four PowerConnect switches. In case a switch's power supply fails, the RPS-600 will supply power to the connected switch and keep it powered on. Each connected switch is supported by one of the RPS-600's four 150 W power supplies. Front-panel LEDs indicate that the unit is either in stand-by or is powering a switch with a failed power supply. The RPS-600 is rack-mountable and consumes only 1 rack-unit of space.
